[Haha. Que será, será sounds pretty dismissive to Prompto, but maybe he's just too sensitive. It sounds reasonable enough, that isolation and hatred and pain make it so much harder to be good and so much easier to get satisfaction from tearing people's lives apart.

It sounds reasonable enough, but hasn't everyone he loves, Ignis and Noct and Gladio with their stupidly noble souls and their honor, their pride, their duty--haven't they suffered, too? Haven't they suffered immensely, at Ardyn's hands and the rest of the world's, without that hurt ever tarnishing what it is that makes them so good?

Whatever. Prompto gets it, he thinks. This guy's got something he believes in, something that makes him give and forgive like a saint, like the Oracle. It's sickening that he's giving that faith to Ardyn, who has some next-level knack for taking the benefit of the doubt and stabbing you in the back with it.
